What are your dr.s reaction to refusing statins? Did your doctor agree to dropping statins?
My experience has been, if you want to see how childish a doctor can be--tell him/her you aren't going to take statins.
Dr.s have yelled at me (literally) And become very angry.
In the most recent case, he ordered me never to come in the office again! And he wasn't even my dr.--only substituting for my primary that day.
A doctor "knows" he is right because the general standards of care say statins are the only way to prevent heart attacks.
The impression I get is that they must "folllow the crowd" to keep in good standing with other doctors.
This is more important than considering the patient's point of view.
