Treating asthma naturally is becoming easier with new immune discoveries for the causes of asthma -- cause of asthma attack and allergies.
US Scientists have discovered an immune cell they say could lead to new treatment for asthma and allergies.
"We think this has finally elucidated some mechanisms for autoimmune disease and asthma," says Dr. Chen Dong.
This research, reported in the journal Nature and Immunology, suggests that the new kind of cell is a key to inflamed airways and diseases where the body’s immune system runs amok.
Here's what researchers are saying:
Both are caused by overproduction of otherwise important immune molecules.
Evidence had been building that people who produce too much of a protein called interleukin 17 (IL-17) can suffer runaway inflammation in different body tissues, including the lungs.
Until the US team found a new population of T cells, or white blood cells, that churn out interleukin 17.
“Prior to this breakthrough,” says the lead investigator Chen Dong, PhD, at the Department of Immunology at the University of Texas, “we knew that there was an excess of a protein called IL-17 in inflamed tissues and lungs, but we did not understand where it came from.”
So why are these specific causes of asthma and allergies important for asthma treatment?
Scientists have also discovered that there are key nutrients that “feed” and regulate the immune and thereby prevent inflammation:
Vitamin D is being found to play an important part in regulating the immune.
He used data collected in the US to determine that “people with a lot of vitamin D circulating in their blood had significantly better lung function than those with lower concentrations.
There are now protein supplements to "feed" the immune system, and balance it, so it does not cause inflammation.
Cytokines are the "first responder" cells of the immune system, that cause the "alert" for inflammation in the lungs to start, when there is an "irritant," pollen, smoke, or any perceived "threat."
These supplements for inflammation can calm down this "emergency reaction," by restoring immune system balance.
Balancing or “modulating” the immune response, will make it less likely to go awry and cause inflammation.
If you have asthma or allergies, or lung problems you will want to try these new supplements for inflammation:

Scott’s eleven-year-old daughter had been very asthmatic and, although she had been to three different doctors, she was getting very little relief.
But because he was not sure that it was treating asthma naturally, he stopped giving his daughter the protein supplement.
Then, after a week all of her symptoms returned – the coughing, the wheezing, and the shortness of breath.
“I have been asthmatic for approximately thirty-three years,” says Ed Peterson who lives in the Mid West.
Mary Gainer began to add to her diet an immune protein supplement because of various health concerns.
No more puffers or inhalers in the future?
We hope that you have been inspired by our posts for treating asthma naturally.
Because inflammatory lung problems and allergies are dormant until activated by a stimulus, asthma treatment has up to now focused on alleviating attacks when they occur.
We hope that you will try the new natural cures for asthma for yourself.
Your immune system having the "habit" of being on high alert, it may take some time even for best supplements for immune re-balancing and supplements for inflammation to work for you.
